the x based table

a few weeks ago, in a post about sam's work, i described a table he was building with an 'x' shaped steel base. i got to see it on site today and it looked great. it's in a 'contemporary farmhouse' up the road and it looks right at home ... click the photos to enlarge them ...
great spot for it ...
here's a shot of the finished base without the top ...
and with the top on it in the finish room ... looks way better in its new home ...
and soon it will have a matching bench with a very cool red/orange cushion to go with the chairs.
it's going ot be a great look ... all for now ...

Thank you for posting this. I'm looking at building an outdoor table with X shape legs/support. I can now show this page to my wife so that she can understand what I'm trying to achieve!

This is a simple yet very efficient furniture. Tables are always a vital element in every household. Check out Amish furniture for more table ideas.
